Sensei Frank Cerio
1942-2004

It is with a saddened and heavy heart that we report that Sensei Frank Cerio, Professor Nick Cerio's brother, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2004.

Sensei Cerio started in the Martial Arts shortly after his brother, Professor Nick Cerio, in the mid to late 60's.   He continued training with his brother up until Professor Cerio's passing in 1998.  Sensei Cerio was the only person, other than Professor Cerio, who knew all of the forms of Nick Cerio's Kenpo from it's infancy in the 60's up to and including it's present form.  Sensei Cerio mirrored Professor Cerio's career in that he trained with most of Professor Cerio's teachers.  These include, but are not limited to, SGM George Pesare, SGM Ed Parker, and Tadashi Yamashita Hanshi.  Sensei Cerio was also tested by all of the above Masters for various ranks throughout the years.

Nardolillo Funeral Home, 1278 Park Ave,  Cranston, RI. will be handling the arrangements.  Their telephone number is (401) 942-1220.

The following is a schedule of the services:

Sunday, July 25, 2004, a showing will be held between 4-8pm at the funeral home.

Monday, July 26, 2004, a final showing will be held at the funeral home starting between 9-9:30am.  The procession will then drive to Saint Robert Bellarmine Church in Johnston, RI.  The Mass will start at 10:30am.  After the Mass, the procession will drive to the Highland Memorial Park Cemetary where the funeral services will commence.

The Cerio family wishes in lieu of flowers, that donations be made in Sensei Frank Cerio's name to the Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island, 169 George St, Pawtucket, RI  02860.

Sensei Cerio, rest in peace and thank you for your friendship and support since the passing of your brother.  May you both continue your training together again.
