Sensei Tom Scott promoted to Shihan
On December 1, 2006, Sensei Tom Scott, Chief
Instructor of Nick Cerio's Kenpo of Omaha, was tested and promoted to the rank
of Godan and title of Shihan. The test was overseen and conducted by
Shihan John James at his dojo in Littleton, Massachusetts and witnessed by Nick
Cerio's Kenpo Executive Board Member, Sensei Maryann Weeden. A Plaque was
bestowed upon Shihan Scott by Master Bill Chun, Jr., at the Professor William
K.S. 'Thunderbolt' Chow Memorial held in San Francisco, recognizing Shihan
Scott's new rank/title and accomplishments. Shihan Scott has been an
outstanding example of Professor Cerio's five Principles of Conduct:
Effort, Etiquette, Sincerity, Character, and Self-Control. Congratulations
on all that you have accomplished and for your contributions to the continuation
of Nick Cerio's Kenpo.
