Tadashi Yamashita Hanshi, came to Massachusetts on November 2, 2002 and conducted a seminar in his unique self defense system. A few lucky participants got a semi private lesson from Hanshi Yamashita in the morning and then the action really began. In the afternoon seminar, Yamashita Hanshi went through numerous unarmed self defense techniques that had the participants spellbound. Hanshi conducted the seminar in the same 'straight to the point' fashion in which he is known for. Everyone got the chance to learn the techniques to the air and then 'tested' them on uki's in numerous drills which included people attacking in linear and circular fashion. When a comment was made that Hanshi hasn't lost a beat since 1986 in which he did a seminar in Rhode Island, he remarked "faster now".
